About Us

Joy Black, R.N., B.A., has been in the nursing profession in N.E. Ohio for the last 26 years and counting and previously she was with the Peace Corps in Chile, South America.  She is regarded as the ultimate care giver by he colleagues, friends and residents.

Joy trained at Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Health Services Management from Ursuline College.  She is an active member of the Chesterland Rotary Club, a graduate of the Geauga Leadership Program, and past board member of ORCA-Ohio Residential Care Association.

Her philosophy throughout her career has been to respect the dignity and integrity of all she meets in her personal and professional capacity.  In the management of her group home, she actively advocates for a safe environment and a nurturing setting for all the residents.

Joy has two married children and lives with her husband Shannon and various livestock on a small farm in Chardon!
